These terms apply to everyone who uses vpdcalculator.com (“the site”), which is run by the VPD Calculator team (“we”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using the site

• Every calculator, chart and page is free to use for personal and commercial growing. There is no account and nothing to buy.
• You may print the charts and tables, save them as PDF or image files, and share them, as long as you do not remove the site’s name or present them as your own work.
• Do not use the site in a way that harms it or other visitors, such as sending automated requests in bulk or trying to break into it.

Results are guidance, not professional advice

The calculators use published formulas and target ranges, listed under Sources on each calculator. Their answers are estimates. Real rooms, sensors, equipment and plants differ, and a reading is only as good as the meter it came from.

• Treat every result as a starting point. Watch your plants and adjust.
• Equipment sizes (fans, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, lights) are rough guides. Check the maker’s figures before you buy, and ask a qualified installer for anything wired in or ducted.
• Electrical work, gas and CO₂ equipment carry real risks. Follow the maker’s instructions and your local safety rules. CO₂ above about 5,000 ppm is unsafe for people.
• Nothing on the site is legal, medical, financial or engineering advice. Growing some plants is restricted where you live; following the law is your responsibility.

No warranty

We check the numbers carefully and test every change, but the site is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it is free of mistakes, that it will always be available, or that a result suits your purpose.

Limits of our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its results, including lost crops, damaged equipment or lost income. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have under the consumer law of the place where you live.

Putting the calculator on your site

You may embed the calculator from the About us page on your own website, free of charge, if you:

• use the embed code as given, keeping the link back to this site;
• do not change its results or make it look like your own tool;
• do not place it on pages that are illegal or misleading.

We may change or stop the embedded calculator at any time.

Your data

What you type stays in your browser. There is no account, no tracking and nothing to sign. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is saved on your device and how to remove it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to research papers, university guides and standards. We do not run those sites and are not responsible for what they say or how they handle your data.

Copyright

The site’s text, charts, design and code belong to the VPD Calculator team. The scientific formulas themselves belong to no one; the sources we use are credited under each calculator.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site changes. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
